My Love

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”
~Helen Keller~

This was the last picture I took with Elise. She had been taken from us about 6 hours prior and placed in the nursery. We were lucky to have been given the opportunity to spend some extra time with her. She slept so seemingly peacefully, occasionally making cooing noises like a little bird, all while keeping a firm hold of my pinkie finger. My pinkie promise to her was that I would always love her, always hold a place for her in my heart, and always hold out hope she would return.

  1. I admire both of you and your strength during this difficult time. My heart breaks for you and I will keep praying that your happy ending is near, but until then I will be here to listen and send love! 😘

  2. My heart hurts knowing there is nothing we can do to make this better for you all, just know you are never alone we love you both so much!!

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know that is usually something we say when someone we know passes away but as a mom I know that your hearts are feeling that deep grief just the same. I pray that this blog helps you as you sort through this difficult chapter and I pray even more that your happy ending is not far away. We love you guys and are keeping you in our prayers daily ❤️

  4. Brian and Diane,
Please know each heart in our family goes out to you all! It is incredibly brave to honor your individual feelings. It is amazing that you will let us in, while you’re journey unfolds. All the joy our family held with your dreams, is now here to hold your grief with you . You are always in our thoughts, everyday. We are, and will be, silent supporters of you along your entire process. Thank you for sharing, you are an inspiration and define bravery!
